Dear relatives

Please do not take the time to bash each and every one of your extended family members by commenting on their physical appearance, one-sided personality and etiquette each Chinese New Year. We are either fat or ugly, shy and too quiet, uglier than our siblings, stupid, have eyebrows that look like the ones of the opposite sex, look/do not look like our parents, have faces that look like 50 cent coins (seriously what’s up with the 50 cent facial expression???), have lousy accents when speaking Cantonese and etc.

We would appreciate your considerate behaviour and we wish to address this matter appropriately with you through diplomatic conversation in the language called English, or if that may come off as complicated proper Mandarin or any other dialect (excluding knnccb, ccb, lj and a plethora of other interesting terms you have for those you have a keen dislike to).

Also, do note that not coming back for Chinese New Year but STILL bashing everyone is also inappropriate. There is a reason why we call you auntie/uncle. Please refrain from being an utterly uncivilized person.

Thank you :)
